These are a few of my favorite things...

The Sound of Music according to Carter.
"My Favorite Things"

Cooking in aprons

and doing some sliding

Fixing the stroller

and finding Dad hiding

hitting the big pole and hearing it ding

These are a few of my favorite things.

Upside down tables

and learning to bake

Pushing the basket

and Bug eating cake

Stealing Mom's ipod and making it ring

These are a few of my favorite things.

Playing with car keys

and dads fixing bikes

Grabbing the camera

and throwing some strikes

Trying to balance while standing on swings

These are a few of my favorites things.

When the dog bites

When I get stuck

When I'm feeling sad

I simply remember my favorite things
and then I don't feel so bad.

to bed and so must I.

Good bye!

Temple, Hike, and a Broken Bike

We started off this week with a trip to the Mesa Temple.  We enjoyed walking around the grounds and exploring the visitors' center.

Carter and Paige looking up at the statue of Christ.

Big Hug!

Getting ready for Church.

Looking good!

Carter drinking a tall bottle of milk on his throne.  It's good to be King!

Carter loves the library.  They have a fun kid's area with a bunch of toys.  He is especially fond of the block box as you can see.

After three weeks of waiting for parts, tools, time, and more tools, Craig was finally able to fix his bike this week.  It was a very Happy Day.

Daddy's best helper! "He couldn't have done it without me."

 Thunderbird Peak Hike
Amanda found a fun hike that is actually right off the freeway near Midwestern University.  We all went on a hike this weekend to check out Thunderbird peak.
Carter "Are we ready to go yet?"

"Carry my things Farmboy."  "As you wish"

Alicia: "Dad!  I told you to leave that baby pack at home!"

Carter's got his game face on.

Cute picture of Alicia walking with her daddy.  Notice the spire in the background.  That is the new Phoenix, AZ temple under construction.  This is going to be a great blessing to us since it is only 10 minutes away from our apartment.

Hiking is tiring.

"Why did you guys wake me up?"

The Fat Lip and Other Fun

This week, we didn't really do anything particularly exciting because dad had to study for Anatomy (boring). Carter did have a few new pictures that we thought had to be shared.
Carter is trying to figure out where the birds are.  He can hear them in the trees, but can't see them.

Carter loves playing in his toy box...literally.  The other day he emptied out half of his toys so he could climb in and play with the rest of them.

First fat lip.  Carter has decided to take up running.  He runs like his dad. :)  He ran into the coffee table and split his lip.  (For the record Craig has not ran into the coffee table...yet)

Carter has been taking texting lessons from his cousin.  He decided to grab dad's phone and practice this week.

Goin' solo on the slide.  Now we just need to get him to slide down.  He only will sit up there and smile.

Daddy's little helper.

"Higher!"
Carter and mommy found a new park this week.

Sword Fights and Spaghetti Dinners

This week Grammy came to visit.  We had a fun little dinner that Carter and Bug really enjoyed. Dinner and free entertainment. What more could you ask for?!

"Where's the grub?"  (The before picture)

Hiding the evidence. (during)

The After pics
"What do you mean there's no more cheesecake salad?"

"Hehehe. I ate it all!"

The after dinner Toga party.

Practicing his stair climbing.

"On the count of three we pounce!"  (Who's going to pounce on who?)

Carter and Craig finally got to meet Uncle Danny!

Mom:  "Don't hold your bottle upside down."
Carter:  "But this is so fun!"

(Mom takes away bottle)
Carter:  "Now I am sad."

Daddy practicing with his top of the line stethoscope.

"My turn!"

Carter loves to push the cart while we are shopping.  I guess we picked the right name for him.
