Hurricane Carter

Last week we drove back to Hurricane for Uncle Jess and Aunt Morgan's open house.  It was a lot of fun and here's proof.

Carter needed a lot of toys to keep him entertained on the long drive.  Here is one of the favorites ("eh-payne")

He also liked Buzz Lightyear (lovingly referred to as "Butt")

Kmart stop-take 1.
A toddler's favorite rest stop.
Playing at the splash park with cousins.
(we stole these next few pics from Aunt Amanda's facebook.)
Carter actually played in the water this time.  We have been trying to get him to enjoy water all summer.  I guess he just needed some other kids to show him how (Yes, Uncle Kyler we mean you :)

All this playing makes Carter thirsty.

Sharing a cone with Daddy.

Silly monkeys!

Carter liked the big trucks at Great Grandma Lee's house.

Helping set up for the open house.

Bond and Bond Jr.

I think that crib grew an extra set of legs.

Kmart stop-take 2.
Again, a toddler's favorite rest stop.

Carter and Daddy playing "Neigh"

Carter getting his new bookcase all fixed up.

"You think that's cute?".............
"Look what I can do---Superman!"

Stitches, destruction and a bit of cake

Hogle Zoo

Behold the cunning construction worker in it's natural habitat.

"I'm not so sure about this Grammy.  He looks kind of scary."

"Oh, now he doesn't look so bad."

"Can we keep him?"

Hiya pal

Monkey Trouble.
Two of the monkeys got loose.

Hanging around the house

Washing the car with Daddy.

Tuesday and Carter become best buddies at meal time.

Being silly with Grampy.

All around the Mulberry bush......
Pop! Goes the Weasel.

Ready to go "yide" (carterese for 'outside')

Bubbles!!

Carter loves to play in Tuesday's bed.
After conceding to the fact the he could not fit through the doggy door himself, he was content with stuffing all his toys out instead.

Craig helping Celene with her math homework.
After hours of frustration, Craig decided to read the rest of the instruction sheet.  Lo and behold, the answer had been there the whole time.  Epic fail.

Cuddly Cousins on a Couch (ok, not a couch, a luv sac)

Craig with two of his favorite little people in the whole world.

Legos.
Dad enjoyed it more than Carter.

"I don't know how those puzzle pieces got stuck in the fireplace."

Carter's stitches.
Two deep, Ten superficial.

Cheetos make everything better.

Bringing down the House

Before shot #1

Before shot #2
(fyi, we don't have any after shots, only during shots)

Teaching.....
....... learning........
........and mastering.

"Can we just leave it this way?'

Carter's a quick learner.

Cutting tile.

What a good helper.

Home again, home again, jiggity jig

After 6 weeks of being gone, our plant was barely clinging to life.  It is currently in critical condition, but with hopes of improvement.
"Dad! How am I supposed to help you eat that if you keep pulling it away from me!  I have little arms!"

"Can I eat it now?"

Happy Birthday Mommy!
(Notice the blob in the upper left corner.  That is when the frosting bag broke)
