September Silliness

Jayden has been loving our art projects.

Caleb has been loving the extra time mommy is distracted during art projects.

And the little tomatoes in the garden.

After a long day of trouble, time to rest and recharge.
(Look on the nightstand at his monster truck charging on mommy's charger)

Keeping ourselves entertained on a long drive.

"Take another picture!"

Taking a quick stop near Strawberry to see the salmon migrating up river.

Carter is revolting against the harsh and unjust 4th grade math curriculum.
Caleb has rallied to his banner.
No more math!

Happy birthday Grumpy and Aunt T!

When you go on a walk and get tired of riding in the stroller.
And tired of one flip flop too.

Carter got tired of his blue pajamas.
Now they are white (inside out)

Carter and Jayden joined a running club.
Here is Carter almost done with a six mile run!

"I'm too exhausted to do anything."

"Ok, I guess I can get up to eat a post-run smoothie."

Helping Grumpy make a porch.

When Grumpy gets tired of little helping hands.
"Put me higher, Grumpy!"

"Yes! This is higher!"

Brother and sister had to join in.

"Ha ha! I'm never coming down!"

"Ok, I came down.
Now it's your turn Grumpy.  I'll catch you!"

Time for a reading break.

Don't forget to smell the flowers.

And visit the bulldozers!

Look who's seven!

The kids thought Grammy's gift was hysterical.
Tiny present, lots of layers of wrapping.

Shoes!

A horse!

Looking cool in his post-eye appointment shades.

Also looking cool in our hats!

I'm running out of time for this puzzle.

Uh-oh.  We left Caleb alone too long again.

This toilet should be safe from cavities and bad breath.

You can't be mad at me.
Look how cute I am.

Enjoying lovely weather with siblings.

And now with mom and dad.

Run faster!

Mommy and Caleb went on an adventure together.

And found a cow!!
And a fist full of dirt.

Werewolf!

Proud to be a three year old.

Library day.

A family who has ice cream movie nights together...

....brushes together.

And watches space ships together.

When Carter gets bored during his language arts work,
he leaves surprises for mom to find.

Carter decided to get his hair cut short.

Dad: "Done!"
Carter: "NO!"

Thanks for finishing my haircut dad.

Caleb knows we won't yell at him at the temple.
"Please come back to us, Caleb."

Proud of finding the biggest raspberry.

Proud of finding the biggest grasshopper.

Caleb's turn.
But we didn't cut his nearly as short.

Movie time for Caleb, iPad time for Jayden.
Sibling bonding.

Pain, lots of pain.
(don't touch your eyes after cutting up jalapeños)

Caleb loves Lamby singing to him.

Cute girl.

Silly boy.

Forts make reading more fun.

Cooking class with our friend.

Result:  delicious pancakes!

Caleb was begging to get the Halloween decorations out.

Then he tried to eat them.

Vampire Weekday (apparently its a band)

Gordon the Golden Eagle takes a girl to Georgia.
Fantastic Female flies Frontier for fun in...Fatlanta.
(translation: Paige went to Georgia for a fun trip)

We started our adventure at the end--This old cemetery

This was actually a really cool, old, historic, big, verdant, non-spooky, formerly racist cemetery.

Then we took a quick trip to Virginia, aka, Covington GA.

We were so excited to see this clock tower in person!
Craig says he was right.  This place IS full of only extremely attractive people.  He didn't come with us.
Oops, my selfie skills chopped off the clock.

Thank you, kind stranger, for sharing your exemplary photography skills.

I hope you all like watermelon pull'n peels (licorice), because apparently that's what forever smells like.

On our way to Wickery Bridge.
We desperately tried to warn this truck of the impending danger ahead.  The path may be beautiful, but it's perilous!

"WE SURVIVED WICKERY BRIDGE!!!"
(this is my all time favorite picture)

Meanwhile:  The kids were having their own adventures with Grammy!

Carter is still our climber.

And apparently, Caleb is our zombie?

Teamwork!

The cutest little lambs at the farm.

So happy to be hanging out with Grammy.

Giddy up!

Back in Georgia, we found ourselves lost in a misty jungle.

Oh, we found our way out!

We made some new friends.

And spent quality time with them.

Taking a break near this cool fountain, listening to some live music.

I don't know what this is, but it looked really cool.

She looks pretty cool too.

We look pretty wet.
We got caught in an oncoming storm and had to run back to the car.
When we saw the weather pick up, us Utahns thought we had plenty of time before rain actually started falling.  Welcome to not the desert.

New day, new adventure at the dinosaur museum.
Jayden was reunited with her "sister."
(When she was little, she called this Dino her sister)

It's national bury your sibling day!  Tomorrow is free beef jerky day.

Georgia has very tall trees.

And big trains.

Welcome to my new home!  Former home of President Snow of Panem.

Just kidding.  This is a cool house called Swan house.
It's too big for me to buy.

Grammy is good at teaching the kiddos too when they come to play.
Good color matching buddy!
Grumpy is good at keeping them out of his hair.

At least they have each other.

Hamilton at Fox Theater!

I had such a great time visiting you (and Spencer) in Georgia!  Thanks sis!
