Rice, crepes, and alliteration

Jayden loves making messes with Rice.

Daddy loves making messes with rice too....to fix the iPad....yes, again. (See How to Void the Warranty post in 2012)

Can you spy Daddy's little helper?

I want to help too!

Craig's Crazy Creepy Crepe...coming quickly? (Still doesn't count as alliteration)

Our budding artist.  Carter has recently started coloring within the lines.  We are not quite sure when this happened.
It's pretty cute though. He's so proud...and so are we.  :)

He gets his style from his Dad

What will my wear today?
Option 1:  Monster Adventure Guy
I hear this is all the rage in the Himalayas
Option 2: Superman shirt
A favorite; unfortunately with demand exceeding supply, one must endure long waiting periods for the dryer to buzz.
Option 3: Night-class professor Spiderman, complete with monkey slippers.
This is him preparing a lecture for Mommy.
Option 4: The combo
Suit pants, swim shirt, monster headgear.  Perfect for any occasion.

Option 5: The missionary
He really did pick this outfit for church out all by himself today.

Carter's newest hobby is re-arranging all his toys (no really, ALL his toys) into elaborate configurations.
He gets quite upset at the end of the day when we tell him he has to put them all away.

Between changing outfits 5 times a day and his extensive engineering work, a boy gets pretty tired by lunch time.
When you're a little scared, it's good to have a giant tiger as a friend.
Daddy makes a good pillow.

A princess never gets her hands dirty.
Then again, maybe she does.
"Wait!  I can explain......"

Storytime with Carter.
Today's story, Jack and the Beanstalk.

Swimming lessons.
Carter was a little confused when the teacher told him Superman had to kick his legs to move.

The nightmare on Elm Street is over!
Craig and some buddies after finishing their practical Board exam in Philly.

The Philly Temple!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(sorry, got a little excited there)

Third year is over!
Bring on year four!

Camping, Canyons and Cuteness

Jayden driving through a thick torrent of wind and rain, determined to make it to the Grand Canyon.
[disclaimer: To avoid a CPS inquiry, this vehicle was parked and off.  No babies were harmed or endangered in the making of this picture]
Carter and Mommy's first view of the Grand Canyon.
Carter was a little nervous by the edge and wanted to go back to the car

A Grand view

Cheese!

"I am not impressed"

Collecting firewood.
Carter was a real help.

Setting up the new tent.

Bundling up for the evening.

"I'm so COLD!  I just want to go home!"
(It was probably about 35 degrees by this point, he is wearing two pairs of pants, two pairs of socks, shoes, a short sleeve shirt, a long sleeve shirt, a hoodie, a thick jacket, and a beanie, while standing by a fire and refusing to sit in the blanket.  Poor Arizona boy.)

See this face?  This is the face of a future trouble-maker.
Already plotting the perfect crime.
