Caterpillars, Cooking and Christmas Prep

Daddy finished his rural rotation so he gets to come home every night now.
(I don't know why blogger won't let me rotate this picture.  Grrrr)
Carter having fun on Thanksgiving.
Each "feather" on this headband lists something he said he is grateful for.
Jayden and Spiderman.
With friends like these....who needs to leave the house?
One of his favorite friends....Spiderman
(notice the others aren't far)
Carter has taught Jayden his ways.
These boys love to cook!
Carter:  "Daddy can you pass the oregano?"
Playing ball with his friends at preschool.
This isn't a large caterpillar, these are very small boys.
Look at me, I'm a beautiful butterfly!

Hiking with friends.
These boys beat everybody up the mountain (or rather, large hill).

Getting Ready for CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Oh the weather outside is frightful......
(we start off Christmas festivities with a picnic)
Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!
(in case you can't tell, that blur consists of several snowflakes we made.  Carter dropped them off the back of the chair and said "it's snowing!")
Santa's little helper.
Carter decided to put all these "presents"(they were boxes of decorations) under the tree as we were setting it up.
Deck the Halls
No Christmas is complete without building a snowman.
Jayden "getting into" the Nativity story....Literally.
(P.S. her first day with a baby ponytail)
Jayden:  "Who is this scary looking man?"
Carter:  "Who cares.  He gave me a candy cane."
Dashing through the.....asphalt
On a one horse open.....tractor
Over the....road...we go
Laughing all the way....ha ha ha
Bells and car horns ring
Making spirits bright
What fun it is to ride and sing a ....hayride song tonight.
Hay!
Sipping cider with the old man.
The hayride took us to a live Nativity and a small petting zoo set up by a local church.
Here Carter gets to meet a donkey like the one Mary rode on to get to Bethlehem.
Look at those horns!
