Family vacation part 1

A great vacation always begins with a good nap.
And another one.
(Look closely, baby Caleb is having happy dreams)

Giddy-up grandpa!

Brother, grandpa drove this thing faster.  Come on!

Grandma time!

Good morning!

Stop 1: Balboa Park
Great climbing tree!

Quality time with Uncle Kyler and cousins.

Everybody loves uncle Kyler.
I love to see the temple

I'm going there some day.

San Diego Temple

Next stop: La Jolla
Jayden's first time seeing the ocean

Don't worry Carter, it can't splash you from here.

Beautiful.
What's everybody looking at?  Everyone is in the way.

That's better.
Oh look, a squirrel.
Our littlest cousin was more excited about the birds than the ocean.

No dad, don't throw me in.

Totally worth the long drive to see this.

More great climbing trees.

Mr. Photographer.

Found the sea lions.

Wow!

Run away!

Our beautiful niece in her baptism dress.

Beach time!!!!!

Ooh! I want to touch it!

Uncle Spencer didn't hesitate to rush right in.

Caleb approves.

Look what I found!

Mmmm, sand.
Caleb agrees.

Hmm, maybe I'll go over there where they are.

Wait, there's water over here.

[High pitched, long scream]

Ok, it's not so bad.

They've got a taste for the ocean.
Salty.
And he's got a taste for sand.
"Hey guys, It's good over here too!"

LOVING it.

Time to dry off.

Time for a run.

May I have a sandwich, extra sand?

Give mine here.

Caleb trying to steal a sandwich.

Let's go fly a kite.

Up to the highest heights.

Lets go fly a kite

And send it soaring.

Up through the atmosphere.
Up where the air is clear.
Lets go fly a kite.

You can never have too much sand.

Grumpy helping an exhausted Jayden.
