Family Not-at-Home Evening

Time for a nice nap.

Nap time is over.  Time to evacuate the neighborhood.
(There was an active shooter around the corner from our house.)

Having fun at the park waiting until it's safe to go home.

Nope, not safe yet.

Well, it's dinner time.  Guess we are eating out.
The kids were happy about that.

More playing while we wait to go home.

So strong!

Reaching an impasse.
Somehow everybody stayed dry.

Getting ready to get rid of Caleb's old carseat.
Caleb disagreed.

"Mine"

Jayden loves to vacuum.

Cute kids enjoying the yard together.

Good times with good friends.

Jayden trying to be a kite.

The funny dance while waving goodbye to Daddy.

Mmmm. Brownies.
What do you mean we are supposed to cook it?

Boo.  Hissssssssss.

Hurrah!  Daddy to the rescue.

Close the door!  It's cold outside!

Half of that tire says "Hey, change me out pretty soon."
The other half says "I'm so tired."  [rim shot]

Can you hear the Top Gun theme?

He found a new freeway for his cars.

Time for a wrestle with Daddy.

Here I am!

It's time to pick some yummy strawberries!

Small but perfect.

Three kids playing the piano together.
Caleb thinks it's hilarious to sit on the piano to play it.
Fingers only Caleb!

Teaching Caleb the balance beam.

Believe it or not, these trees are aspens.  They are sick.

This is what happens when you tell Carter to come over here for a picture.
He just kept walking closer until he was right in front of the camera.

Found an old beaver dam.

Jayden wasn't very excited to show us the dam.

She was much more interested in the fact that the shirt she chose matches the scenery.

And Carter was interested in finding sticks.  Big sticks.

Hiking wouldn't be complete without snack time!

Caleb is trying to give two thumbs up.

These fingers?

"Cool man!"  I got this.

Like my new glasses?

First time back at church in a while.
Caleb and Mommy enjoyed becoming reacquainted with the hall.

Uh-oh.  TV zombies.  Time to go out!

Picnics with grapes are the best.

Grapes on the go.

Soccer time!

I'm going to block your shot!

After a few minutes of actual soccer, Carter & Jayden started climbing the posts, Caleb ran away, Craig chased him, and the ball lay peacefully in the goal.

Soccer is tiring.

Found another good place to drive cars.
"Stop moving Daddy!"

Ready for a day at the lake!

Taking our friends' kayaks out for a spin.

Ok Craig.  Maybe we can buy one of these one day.

Even princesses brush their teeth.

Birthday party face paint.

Caleb LOVED running through this tall grass.

Cool kids in front of a cool truck (an ice cream truck).

Happy Father's Day Dad!
Caleb could not be bothered by the festivities.

Hold on now.  Did you say treats!?

When you have older siblings, sometimes your onsie gets stuffed with toys.
He looks like a little turtle.

Caleb trying to Home Alone Daddy.
Seriously though, he loves his cars.

Dressing up is fun to do.

Mommy, count backward from 100!

Caleb will help too if he can get these darn things untangled.

Her prognosis doesn't look good.

Jayden couldn't keep herself from singing during Caleb's nap.
So mommy took care of the problem.
(Bonus: she won't get coronavirus while she's on the computer)

Out getting summer passport stamps with friends.
This activity was making a flashlight.

Tumbling down the hill while practicing social distancing.

Tree climbing buddies.

Popcorn night.
Trying a new recipe:  Churro popcorn

Kids bootcamp at the rec center.
Faster!

Peek a boo!

Red Light!!

The library had some baby goats come visit for their Three Billy Goats Gruff activity.

Caleb patting his knees.
Come here little goat!

You kids stay away from my lawn!!

Happy face.

In your face.

Sitting on the porch waiting for Daddy to get home.

Caleb was terrified of the lawn mower.

"Side! Side!"
(He wants to go inside)

Is it gone yet?

Carter got to have a sleep over and road trip with his best buddy.

Time to go.
Caleb: "No Daddy! Daddy! No!"

Just 30 more minutes in the car can't be that bad, right?

Visiting the baby goats

Feed me! Feed me!

So cute!

Time for slurpees

Mmmmmm

Happy Birthday Grammy!!!!

Hanging in the hot tub.

Hiking with friends.

We made it to the waterfall!!

Grandpa, I found a deer for you!

Fixin' the truck with Grumpy.
Don't learn any words today kid.

Caleb loves this hat.

He loves this Daddy too.

Dinner on the porch

Back home.  Time to earn some more passport stamps.
Visiting a garden center, bringing home some new plants.

Reina de queso.
She's the big cheese.

FHE
Jayden chose pie face.  Again.
Dante wrote a book about this game.

Jayden was too afraid to let the game pie face her.
So she agreed to do it to herself.

Jayden and a friend planting some new flowers.
