A kitchen remodel and a lot of adventure

After a last minute notification,
we spent the evening emptying the kitchen getting ready for our remodel.

This kitchen is ready for a change.

Demo day!

The original builders left us a hidden message.
Thanks dude.

After just over a month, our kitchen is ready to use again.
In this picture, we are still waiting for microwave and backsplash.

After our family trip, we needed to make a belated birthday cake for Dad.

Grumpy helping Carter with his robotics programming.
Or is Carter helping Grumpy? XD

Making rose bouquets for neighbors.

Baking is more fun together.

Jayden thought our light switches could be more fun.

We made a robot!
Time to knock him down!

Do you like our piano forte?

Time to hike with some friends.

A father-son moment.

Queen of the rock.

Don't get your shoes wet!

High-five little guy.  You made it!

Jayden is a good doodler.

What a lucky night.
We got to see the aurora borealis from Grammy's house.

It was much easier to see with our cameras than with our naked eye.
But still amazing!

We saw some cousins at an eight-piano ensemble concert.
It was pretty cool to listen to!

Practicing our farm skills.

Train ride!

I'm sorry, but your Guinea pig is dead.
I'm sorry for your loss.

The dragon attacked the winged princess.

Luckily the king was around the save the day.

See ya!

Hi Mommy!

Carousel photo op.
There's not quite enough room for Carter.

A relaxing afternoon on a horse.

Cute!

You guys ready for a tractor ride?

Let's do this!!

We wandered into the goat pens just after this little goat was born.
He worked hard for a while and we all cheered when he finally got his feet under him.

Cute baby goats.

Craig is the best hubby!

Legos at Grams' house.

Mine's taller!

The boys went off to the fathers and sons camp out.
Sounds like a perfect opportunity for an Eras Tour girls night!

And of course we had to make bracelets!

Poor boy woke up with really bad croup only 30 minutes after going to bed.
After a lot of persuasiveness from Mom & Dad, he took some medicine and it calmed down.

And the next day was a sick day.
Poor buddy.

Carter working on a mothers day gift for Mom.
It was a really cool sunset/moon stained glass.

Family bowling!
You got it Caleb!

Good job buddy!

Strike!

A good cheer squad.

Goofing off waiting their turn.

Caleb loved organizing the bowling balls.

Mom is the winner!
(just barely)

Now don't be fooled by these happy pictures of family bowling.
The majority of the time was filled with tears, boredom complaints, and asking when it was time to go home.  One of those parenting times when you think "well maybe this was a bad idea."

But looking back, these pictures show that even amidst the imperfectness, there were flashes of fun, silliness, cheering, and smiling that helped our family grow in love.

Caleb really wanted to try the motorcycle racing.

To his parents' surprise, he somehow ended up getting first place!

If we ever get kicked out of a store, it's going to be a Lowe's or a Home Depot.
But the kids always have a blast.

Young Mens music night.

Co-op at a stream.

Caleb wasn't interested in playing by the water.
I'll supervise from here guys.

So many tadpoles!!

Carter caught a little family of them.

Good job guys.  If any of those pollywogs turns into an evil supervillain,
I've got your backs.

Carter caught the mommy frog!

Ok, I'm a little interesting in seeing that.

So cute!

By the end, Caleb finally came down from his rock to explore with a buddy.

Practicing skipping stones.

Some Vernal friends came through town.
It was so fun to see them!

He still loves this transformer costume.

The kids decided they wanted a sleepover in the office.

Jayden decided the floor wasn't comfortable enough.

The big kids got to go with Grammy to visit their cousins!

Do you like my new hair?

Too much fun!

Yee-haw!

These girls were gentle enough the peacock allowed them to pet his feathers.

We love this picture of Celene.
She is at the state capitol for the sending of the Martha Hughes Cannon statue off to D.C.

Swimming with the neighbors is so fun!!

Look at my tail too!

Carter wrestling with the boys.
Jayden trying to walk in fins.

Made it!

We're doing good Mom!

Hilarious.

Grams' fence needs a fresh coat of paint.

Messy messy.

Everyone pitched in to help.

It's looking so good!

We love you Grams!

When we got home from Salt Lake, Jayden really wanted to host a cookout in the backyard.
She did all the invitations, set up, decorating, and clean up (well, some of the clean up).
