School's out!!!

We've been on vacation the past month and a half so we're way behind on our blogging.  Here's part one of the update.

Week before our trip

Carter loves bubbles!!

Little Rascal

Bring on the dirt and worms!
(for those who are unfamiliar with this delicacy, this dish consists of chocolate pudding, crushed oreos and gummy worms.  Yum!)
Carter loved it for a minute until he discovered he was dirty.

Carter: "Daddy had an off day on baby dressing duty."
Craig:  "I blame the baby"

Grammy and Uncle Danny took us to the Wildlife Zoo and Aquarium:
This Boa Constrictor display had no glass separating you from  the snake.  Craig did not like this part.

We can't remember what this is Carter is looking at, but he seems to like it.

Giraffe!

Shhh! The tigers are sleeping.

Racing uncle Danny

Waiting for the train to go.

What a cutie

Carter will be reverent at the zoo, just not church.

Attacked by the killer baby goat!

Hey guys, want to race?

New York, New York.....and Philly

Rebel child

Use your eagle powers Craig!
Craig: "That's what I'm doing"

Practicing for New York.
Taxi!

Craig: "World's worst drinking fountain"
Paige: "World's best photo op"

 Ye Olde Time Yoga
"We call this 'The signer'"

"Do you like my beard?"

"Yes, I am the most interesting man in the world."

The mighty hunter

Paige: "I ran up the Rocky Steps."
Celene: "Ugh.  That's so 90's"

YO ADRIAN!!!

Photobombed by grandpa Batty

S-T-O-W
(for you National Treasure fans, the bench Riley was sitting on is no longer there so we  found the closest alternative).

Logan Square.

Temple site.  Wahoo!!!
Currently a big hole in the ground, but it's progress.

She loves me.....
.....She loves me not.
Sorry!

"Craig! Do you think this is a game?"

Philly Cheesesteak.  mmmm

Valley Forge

Craig misses tracting so he thought he'd give it another go.  He was unsuccessful.

Craig, can we afford this house?

Waiting for the train to take us to Grand Central Station.

Grand Central

Times Square, in the rain.

Wicked!

No Shirt, No Pants, No Problem

Carter only has the patience to get halfway dressed now days.  Thus, many of our pictures this week (many not included in this post) feature Carter missing some aspect of clothing.

Candy PLEASE!
Carter knows we hide the candy in the bedroom.

Let's do this

mmmm....ketchup

"Here Rex, here's your dinner"

Helping Mommy clean the balcony

Muscles!!!

Swimming with Daddy.

Tanning with Carter.
He enjoyed this part much more than the actual swimming.

Carter likes his boat much more when it's not in the water.

Carter playing with a friend at a ward party.
"I got the matches, did you bring the fireworks?"

Swing and a Mess (Bah dum bum)

Carter discovered his old baby swing this week.
Several times this week, when we heard only silence coming from his room, we would get worried about what trouble he had found.   Sometimes we would find him innocently relaxing in his swing....
....Sometimes we would find this.

....And this.

Carter loved making frosting for Daddy's birthday cake (Happy Birthday Daddy!).
Frosting!

Little Bunny Foo Foo.

Carter finally got to go to Nursery today (which means Dad got to go to Priesthood)!
We didn't take a picture of him, but here is the first picture he colored in Nursery.

Easter Fun

Easter Egg Hunt number 1--Playgroup at the Park.
He had a hard time understanding that he needed to put the eggs in his basket.  So most of the time he was wandering around with two eggs in his hands and when he'd find another one he would set one down so he could pick it up.
If unwrapping a Starburst in your mouth means you're a good kisser,
what does this mean?

Easter Egg Hunt number 2--Midwestern.
This may look like a lot of eggs, but......
....it's not.
Carter ended up with two.
No words necessary.
Carter loved the bounce house.

Easter Morning.
"Is this what I'm supposed to be looking for?"
"In the closet?  Nice try Mr. Easter Bunny."
How many Jelly Beans can Carter fit in his mouth?

Lookin' stylish at church.

Easter Egg Hunt number 3--Aunt Judy's.
"Look how many I got this time!"

Carter calls the swing "Whee!"

Carter's favorite book
This would be much easier if he would just get a few more bottom teeth.
Carter helping in the kitchen...or at least staying a little more out of the way.
Carter's gotten pretty good at cleaning out the lint trap.
Caught red handed!  And blue, and orange, and purple.
"It may not look like it, but I love rootbeer!"

"Hey Mom!  What's this???"
Stopping to smell the roses.
(okay they're not roses)
