Springtime is here!

Enjoying the sun and park with a good friend.

Carter's homemade flower doll.
The head is a bud, the torso is a coco puff, and the skirt is a dandelion.

Jayden picked our only daffodil.
Good thing she is so cute.

Mommy taught her to pick these yellow flowers.

Springtime means its time for yard work.  What a good helper.

We have some blossoms!

Carter thought the black rain spout was not fun enough so he replaced it with a bucket.

Carter's good friend gave him some caterpillars to take care of.

What are they doing, Mom?

They made chrysalides!

We tried a new way to resolve marital conflict....
Paige still won.

Hair chopping time.

Still a cutie.

Both kiddos showing off their hair cuts.

Jayden insisted that this outfit matches.  Even Carter was backing her up:
"Mom, they both have black stripes."

And a splash of color to complete the ensemble.
Work that style

First mani-pedi

Jayden loves the lemon drops at Grammy's house.
"More 'rain drops' please!"

Why sleep in a bed when you can sleep on the floor?

So proud of his bottle rocket.
Now we just have to figure out how to launch it.

Carter loves creating new things.
This is peach/pickle juice.  Yum!

On cold spring days we have to make our own play ground.

Budding paleontologists.

Miss smarty pants.

Searching for treasure.
The diamond is behind you!

Carter slammed his finger in a door.
Jayden is icing her finger with him.

Birthday MUFFINS!

So high!

Arizona Trip 2017

Mommy, Carter and Jayden took a trip down to Arizona to visit cousins with Grammy.
We had a blast!!

Two of these kids are not too excited about going to the zoo.

"Guys, I think we are lost"

Mommy taking pictures...again!

Here we see the Jayden-bird.
She enjoys spending time in a hollow tree, waiting for tourists to bring her food.

Here is the giant Carter-tortoise.
He pretends to be slow and harmless, until his victim is not looking; then he strikes.

Carter: "Help I've fallen into a hollow tree!"
Jayden:  "Run!"

Best cousins

She is so proud of her rocket

Hula hooping is hard!

What could cause this gripping terror in a small child?
.......

Behold the monster!

Code blue
Dr. Batty to the rescue!

Craig's three favorite people.

The one not-silly picture of this photo shoot.
Practicing their graffiti skills.

On our way through AZ we had to visit our old stomping grounds.
Sliding down the yellow slide near are apartment.

So little

Climbing the trees near our apartment.

So little

And no Arizona trip is complete without a ride around the golf course with Uncle Danny!

Or a ride with Grandpa Batty

Back at home.....

A tribute to uncle Kyler.
It's hard to see the black yarn, but Carter has tied himself to the couch and can't get out.

First step, this small rock...
Next step, that big mountain!

This little girl wants to save the environment and not waster paper.

Ta-Da!

Shake and shake the ketchup bottle,
None will come and then a lot'll.
--Chuck McKay, of the McKays of Schenectady.

Residency polar plunge.
During retreat we all walked through 2 feet of snow to jump into a pond at 11:30 PM.

She's a lumberjack and She's okay! She sleeps all night and works all day!
