Up to Christmas

Caleb has been practicing feeding himself.
He needs more practice.

Caleb pulled the curtain down after his nap.
He didn't like the surprise.

This girl loves her makeup

Like my lips?

Sharing her lipstick with her brother.

Being sick is hard when you have a little brother climbing on you.

Time for more sleep after spending all afternoon in bed.

Carter was feeling better, so we sent him back to school.
That lasted until about lunchtime.  Sick again.

Riding a tiny horse.  Yee-haw

Headed for a life of crime.

Still best buds.

Carter sick a third time in two weeks.

This guy hasn't been sick very often.  Maybe it's because he licks everything.

This is fun.

Ok, not so fun.  Get me out of here!

Carter has been practicing his origami.

Jayden working on her "laptop."
Can you see it?

Jayden propped her dolls up on this chair one day.
All day, Paige kept walking by and, out of the corner of her eye, seeing eyes looking at her.
Slightly unnerving.

Daddy's work sent him this Christmas wreath.
I guess it's time to start decorating.

Setting up the tree.

Great helpers.

Hey, watch the face!

It's coming along.

Taking a break to sit on Mommy.

Jayden found this cool cape.

Or is it a skirt?
(it's actually a tree skirt)

Oh no!  The tree stand broke!

Now we can't have any Christmas presents!
(Jayden was quite worried.  But we took her to the store and fixed it right away.)

Silly boy.

The not very hungry caterpillar.

Jayden's angel.

Jayden's brother.

Aww.  Aint he cute?

An apple a day keeps the......
Caleb stop!

I'm dressed!

Mom let Carter be in charge of spreading the peanut butter on the crackers.

After a week of a barren tree, we finally decided we better put ornaments and lights up.

I'll help too!

I'll pull them all off!

Do these taste good?

Better put them up higher.

Yay lights!

Ho ho!

I don't know where all the lights went.

Elf beneath the shelf...or maybe its a window.

Time to visit Santa.
Carter asked for a surprise this year.

Smiles all around

The kids asking Santa to turn on the Christmas lights.
Caleb just stands on the porch and yells.

Little elves.

Going on an adventure with Grumpy.

Merry early Christmas!  Putting together Grumpy's new telescope.

Seeing the lights at Temple Square.

Say trees!

Caleb LOVED this Santa.

Twas the night before Christmas, the knights guard the shelf,

And the Batty's had dinner, Dad cooked it himself.

A tooth was ripped out of Carter's face with great care,
in hopes that the tooth fairy soon would be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their fort,
in hopes that their structure had sufficient support.

And two little children asleep in their bed,
hoping for a magic morning ahead.

Happy Thanks-Baptism

Caleb tried mittens on for the first time this year.
He thought they were awesome!......
......For about 15 seconds.  Then he started panicking when he couldn't figure out how to take them off (sorry for the poor quality picture).  He eventually used his teeth to tear them off.

This is the face of a boy who has figured out how to get past mom's barricades.
(We've been successfully using this box for several months to keep him away from the books on this bookshelf.  He figured out how to move it.)

Time for Thanksgiving dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Batty's house.

Come on Great Grandma Lee, lets race!

Check please!

Ooh! Pumpkin pie?  Ok I'll stay for more.

Carter's baptism!

Lucky to share this day with his cousin!

Carter is tired of pictures.

Grammy said something to make him smile, but we can't remember what.

Time to explore Grandma's yard.

The ramp is always a favorite.

Oooh! What's this?

Time for movie and popcorn with Grandma!

That was a long weekend!  Time for a nap.

Now that we've had a good nap, time for a 9pm showing of Frozen II!

Loved it!

Caleb stayed home and napped with Grumpy.
