Leaping Leprechauns

Carter's First Day of School.
Daddy's school had a Pediatric medicine day that required some volunteers.  Carter was excited to go to school with daddy.

Say Arrrgh!
Avast ye landlubbers, there be pirate booty to be found!

Prima la carne.
(If you don't understand, go watch Kicking and Screaming...right now.  Really, and get me a juice box).

Going on a Leprechaun hunt.
Carter didn't mess around.  He brought the binoculars to make sure the Leprechaun didn't escape.

That Leprechaun is tricky. He's trying to distract us by leaving gold coins.

This picture needs no words. Just enjoy.

Checking out the Zebras with the guys.

Being Macho

Macho is racing your friends up a mountain

Macho is hiking a little slower for your old man.

Macho is sleeping on rocks.

Macho is conquering the mountain and making it look easy.

Macho is helping an old man down the mountain.
(sorry grandpa)

(Macho is tiring)
Macho is fixing a tire.

Macho is eating with an ice cream scoop (yes those are pretzels).

Macho is reaching for great heights.....in search of goldfish crackers or other manly sustenance.

Macho is peeing in the woods, but peeing in the potty is the first step.
(Carter has been doing very well potty training this week.  Here he is showing off his first completed sticker chart).

Macho is rocking America's favorite past time.

Macho is making this look easy.

Macho is goofing off with friends.  Especially girls ;)

Partying with old friends and Making new ones

Introducing Carter's new friend Sammy.  This is Carter's first attempt at putting his face together.

We tried playing catch with Sammy, but Sammy wasn't very good.  He's tolerably good at dodge ball though.

This is Carter's newest friend obsession, Gastro Gil.  Carter loves to feed him and see the "food" go down his "esophagus" and into his "stomach"
Now Mommy and Daddy are stuck helping Carter feed Gil like a thousand times a day, literally :)

Carter trying to scare Daddy into giving him more candy.

The family that casts together, lasts together.
Ba dum bum.

Jam session with Carter's good friend Uncle Ben.

Mastering the art of the Chill.  Even in 90 degree weather.  (Yes Utah, I said 90)

A couple minutes after Carter got out of time out for hitting with the bat, we told him to smash this pinata.  He had no problem following this rule....besides aim.

P-A-R-T-Y-!!!!!!!

Sick days and not-so-sick days

This week Carter was sick.  But we still had a lot of fun!  (some of these picture are pre-sick baby).

This week we made an earth pinata.
And Carter said "Let there be candy."

"You found me!"

This is Carter's focused face.

Avast ye mateys!  There be pirate booty near.

You can only play in this fort if you can make a funny face.

Reading with Daddy in the fort.

This is what happens when Craig leaves his Medical books out.

Carter decided that when he's sick, he becomes terrified of the vacuum.  Mommy had to wait for Daddy to get home so he could hold Carter while she vacuumed.

After being sick for a few days, Carter decided it was Elmo's turn.  Carter took good care of Elmo.
.....And kitty.

This little boy loves his baby swing.  Maybe one day he'll decide to outgrow it.
Daddy:  "No Carter.  You can't take the baby swing to college."

Tree climber, climbing on a tree!  And that's why they call him tree climber!

Boys will be Boys

Chopper 5 you are clear for takeoff

These boys love Legos (or "Gogos")

Carter: "Watch Carter, I bat"

Innocent friendly winter hat, or mask of terrifying horror:  you be the judge.

These ducks learned to keep their distance while he was throwing the bread.  He nailed a few of them.

One little cowboy jumping on the bed.  He got caught jumping on the bed.  Mommy called the student doctor and the student doctor said, "No more cowboys jumping on the bed!"

Christmas Adventures

Checking out the lights at the Mesa Temple.

Carter decided that it was fun to "tickle" the lights with a leaf.  He made daddy do it too.

Batty family at the Temple lights.

I've got my candy, now GET ME OUT OF HERE!

Carter and his buddy Eli watching the model trains.  Sorry, you can't actually see the trains.

CHOO CHOO!!!

Carter found the band at the train exhibit.  He asked mommy to dance with him.

Taking a bow after showing off his dance moves.

"I dare you to throw that Snowball at me."

First time sledding.  (Carter, not Paige--she's ready to go pro)

Building the "e-man"  Carter was very disappointed when we couldn't take our creation home in the car.

Santa baby and Elmo

Taking a nap with new friends and old friends.

Scary Monster
Scary Santa.

Carter approves of his new ride.  (For those of you who don't know, we got a new Car!!!!!)
Riding the Gator with mommy.  Carter loved going fast.

Proof that chicks dig guys with cars.  Doesn't matter the age.  (We have no idea who this girl is, but she decided she needed to join him for a cruise)

Mommy vs the boys in an epic motorcycle battle...Mommy won.

...And the windup...

Putting his new truck to work.

Look mommy, no hands.

This is Carter's crew.  He will bring all of these guys with him when he gets up in the morning.  It's pretty cute.

After Christmas, we decided to enjoy autumn...
...Then Carter decided it was winter and made "snow angels."
