Autumn Awesomeness

We may be posting this post the end of November, but these pictures only cover mid September through mid October.  Somehow we got behind again.

We love this picture of Caleb.
He doesn't usually pose (nicely) for pictures, but when he was given the choice of getting a haircut or posing for a cute picture, he chose picture.

We are loving our neighborhood.  Here we are at the annual corn and scones party.

I love corn!

Time to remodel a bathroom.

This new subfloor looks (and smells) much better!

We had a great construction crew to help us.

Speech, speech!!
We gather here today to celebrate the installation of a new sink.

Here is our plumber.  He's pretty reliable.
And he always comes back to fix the pipes when they leak.

This is the face one makes when a simple switch-out-the-light job,
becomes a patch-drywall-and-paint job.

Yay! The bathroom is done!!
(we did add an oval mirror after this picture was taken)

Lovin the outfit.

Somewhere we have Carter as a two or three year old that looks just like this.
Glad he's not growing up too quick.

Paige's watch was listening when she told Jayden to get everything done before 8:30 (time to leave for school).  This is what was added to the reminders app.  Just get everything done XD

School has been going well for Carter.
Here he is learning some more coding skills (python).

And here is is making a koinobori.
(Learning about Japan)

Caleb's school is to play superheroes with his friends.

And practice getting dressed by himself too.

The boys have a fun co-op group that they get to go on field trips with.

Here is Jayden in her Chinese class celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival.

She's loving having great friends at school.

Time for Carter's haircut.  Do you like it?

Ok fine, we will take out the pony tail.

Carter is loving his ninja class!

The perfect class for a little monkey.

Look at those muscles!

And look at that smile!

A nice evening for a walk.

Starting to prepare for Halloween.
Caleb is excited for his costume.

Family hike.
Boys in front.

Girls in back.

Is it time for snack yet?

This washer was pretty dirty.
Time to take it out and do a deep clean.

Boo!

After finding the agitator of our washing machine was rusting out
(and leaving rust on our clothes), we headed out to buy a new one.
Caleb decided he likes this store.

Still enjoying beautiful roses on our rose bushes.

This particular bush seems to be constantly in bloom.
With tons of them!

Caleb and his good friend Buzz.

Caleb's new helmet looks ginormous.
If it was dark green he would look like a little army guy.

Playdough time!

Ice cream, yum!

Carter helping Caleb climb the slide.
And he wondered why his neck was sore the next day.

Cute boy.

Mom had to get a picture of this.
These two coloring quietly....

And these two working on a Lego set.

And here these two are again, playing quietly.
It's a conference miracle!!

We made Japanese onigiri (rice balls) between sessions.

Jayden made all the cute animal ones.
The boys just slapped a square piece of nori on them and called it good.

Ta-da!

Feeling in the Japanese mood, Craig made sushi with his new sushi kit.

It turned out delicious!

Conference is wrapping up.

Ta-da!

We found some giant, cement soccer balls at a new park.

Ouch!  That hurts!

Take a picture of me too!

Ew! Don't kiss it!

Feeling a little sick today.  He's holding on to the blanket tag for comfort.

More school for Carter.

Our little artist.

Caleb loves looking for Five Little Pumpkins in his room.
Where is the last one?

When there is mud on the playground after school,
you've got to stay and play.

This is so fun!

Come children!  Get your wet wipe.

Young Jack Sparrow on a strider bike.

Aunt Amanda made this beautiful baptism dress for Jayden.

And Jayden loves the corseted back!

Someone is turning 11!

Happy birthday buddy!

Good cake!

Where is Caleb?

Key sorting day at our house.
There were so many keys!
(and they left our hands kind of grimy)

An outing with friends.
This is how Caleb poses for pictures.  What a stinker.

We tricked him to look by exclaiming "ice cream!"

I'm a mean old witch with a hat.

Having fun with friends at a neighborhood party.

And someone brought a cotton candy machine!

I got one too!

Playing with familysearch's compare-a-face activity, where the computer compares your picture to those of your relatives.  Paige tried smiling, straight faced, and angry faced, and each time the percentage match with her mom's picture was low.  Finally, when trying this crazy face, the percentage shot up to a 53% match!

Loving these perfect afternoons on the playground after school.

Mom and Dad went on an Anniversary trip, leaving the kiddos to have fun with Grammy and Grumpy.
The big kids loved learning from the worker at the dinosaur museum.

Caleb hung out with Grumpy while he waited for the big kids to finish learning.

No trip to the dinosaur museum is complete without a picture with Jayden's sister.
(see past posts)

Caleb got a pic with her too.

Time to dig up some bones and bury some brothers.

We enjoyed a wonderful anniversary trip in Logan.
Here we are in front of where our old apartment used to be.
We actually stayed in that hotel in the background, practically in our old backyard.

It was the perfect day for a fall hike.

We ended the trip with a visit to the "haunted river trail."
We were only a little scared.

Carter's turn to get a piggy back ride.

Howdy partner.

What good buddies

We are still finding a lot of random stuff around the house.
Here is a really old looking tool.  It looks like it could be used to pick up ice or logs maybe,
I wonder if it works on small children.

Jayden's pumpkin book report.

Field trip time!
Our group made this "scarecrow" for the scarecrow walk in St George.

Spiderman is happy posing for pictures.

Now boys, don't wrestle by the edge of the cliff!

Goodbye....goodbye...goodbye.
