A June Trip

Craig and Jayden signed up for a race at Yellowstone this June.
Time for a roadtrip!

We of course began our trip at Grammy's house!

Caleb loves Grammy special lullaby.
We had to look up what it was called so mommy could learn it.
It's called Lullaby in Blue.

Grammy has some cool slippers!

I think they'll give us super powers!

Mom got to go help Aunt Roger set up this tent for a screening of her short film

It ended up looking pretty good!
And people loved the movie!

Now we have a new friend to help in our shenanigans.

Now it's time to hit the road!

We of course took a detour through Logan.

We had to check out their brand new library.
We approve!

On our way to a river rafting trip.

River rafting is fun!

Oh, we are putting it in the water?

This is going to be awesome!

After the first big rapid, Caleb got wet and decided river rafting was not his favorite.

Carter got wet too!

First stop in Yellowstone was this cool lake.

Cheese!

Caleb said he was up for a photo shoot.
So here are some artistic pieces by Caleb.

These bison went on the same hike we went on!

Wow, they are pretty big!

Hmm.  Whatever.
Let's go home.

Old Faithful.

Everyone stay back!
This geiser is hot!!

Anyone up for a dip?

It was a pretty place to explore.

At the bib pickup, these boys braved the hot weather,
made hotter by this fire, to enjoy some yummy marshmallows.

Tortilla slapping competition.

Soda chugging competition.

This bouncy pad would be funner with more air in it.

We got to sleep in this cute little cabin!

Jayden is ready to run her first 5k.
Carter is practicing for the photo bombing competition.

The runners are heading out!

Go Jayden!

You are almost to the end!

Crossing the finish line!

Whew!  That was a long run!

Our little racer.

And she got an extra medal for placing 4th in her age group!

Time for the big racers.

Let's do this!

Craig did great in both his races!

It's good to have buddies to race with.

On the drive home we gave Caleb the phone to take a few pictures.
Here is Mom and Dad.

The rest are of Caleb.

Silly Selfie.

Just like his Grumpy.

The End of School Means the Beginning of Summer!

We spent a lot of May and June giving our front room a face lift.

Here is the official before picture.

And here is the after picture (minus the mantel which we still have not installed).
Honestly a lot the same, just a fresh look and now wired for electricity!

Here are a few of the process pictures if you are interested.

Breaking out the old mantel.

What a stud!

Framing

Wiring

Shiplap

Some more electrical

Cute helper

Painted!

Things getting put in place.

Caleb volunteered to decorate the new fireplace area.

Just waiting for flooring!

Finally done and usable again.
(although this pic is still missing new furniture and rug).

And now on to the fun stuff!!

Caleb was so excited for his kindergarten end of year performance.

They spent a good part of the year learning quite a few patriotic songs.

And they all painted their own T-shirts.
It's one of Caleb's favorite shirts to wear.

Good job buddy!

We now have three kindergarten graduates!

Summertime means more ice cream!

This boy must be related to his grandpa.

We'll start him a selfie folder.

Kicking the summer off with an outdoor movie and sleepout!

Let the show begin!!

Dart gun war for YM/YW.
Carter died unfortunately.

Apparently the beginning of summer means food from the garden for some people.
We are still waiting at our house.

Time for cannonballs!

Caleb channeling his inner house.

Jayden wanted to try it too.

Fairy Garden building at the park.

Tree climbing!

Late night swim parties with friends!

These are some cool kids.

We finished off May with Carter heading off to FSY,
followed by a week with Grammy and cousins for a
Book of Mormon Marathon
(and a lot of candy and goofing around).

These two loved FSY and had a great time!

Carter sent this picture to his mom
when she told him to send her some pictures!

Spoiled by Grammy

Yummy!

A party?  For me?

No trip is complete without visiting sister.
